Dudley Archives and Local History Centre - Duncan Edwards Exhibition

An exhibition celebrating the life of Dudley’s greatest sporting icon Duncan Edwards. To mark the 60th Anniversary of Duncan's death, the tribute exhibition will now be extended until Saturday 28th April 2018.

Duncan was aged just 21 when he was a victim of the Munich air crash which claimed the lives of eight Manchester United players. The former Priory school pupil died in hospital 15 days later on February 21st 1958.

The exhibition will feature an extensive collection of photographs, press cuttings, memorabilia and football programmes, telling the story of his Black Country roots as a schoolboy to his championship days with the Busby Babes of Manchester United and his appearances for England.
