NHS Dudley offers a range of free adult weight management services at a variety of locations and times within the Dudley Borough. Weight Watchers / Slimming World A 12 week programme (once a week) at the commercial Weight Watchers or Slimming World group Patients receive the same benefits as paying customers. Patients are able to go to their GP surgeries and request subsequent referrals but these are subjects to the PCT’s terms and conditions. Search this directory for details or go to www.weightwatchers.co.uk ww.slimmingworld.co.uk for your nearest group. Who is it for, Eligibility Criteria Adults aged 17 plus. (Referrals for children aged 10 – 16yrs are accepted for Weight Watchers with a ‘Dear Doctor Letter.’ Children who wish to attend Slimming World do not require a referral into this service, but can instead attend Slimming World free of charge with a parent / guardian who is already a paying or PCT voucher member.) >You are required to attend a GP surgery within Dudley Borough or work within Dudley Borough in the Public Sector (You will need to supply evidence for this.) >BMI > 30 or > 27.5 for patients of Asian origin. Referrals can be accepted for patients with a BMI of > 28 or > 23 for patients of Asian origin, if you have a relevant cardiovascular related health condition. >Referrals are unable to be accepted for patients who have been a paying member to either Weight Watchers or Slimming World within the last 3 months.
