I am a highly experienced and qualified tutor in English, maths, dyslexia and SpLD. I love teaching and also offer KS2 SATS preparation, revision, and academic study skills, through individually tailored multi-sensory programmes for students to reach their potential.
I am a highly experienced tutor based within the West Midlands. I have significant experience within the field of English, maths, functional skills and specialist dyslexia and SpLD tuition and support. I also have considerable experience of working with employers and employees through apprenticeship programmes, and students in Higher Education with Band 4 one to one academic study skills support.
My qualifications include: BA (Hons), First Class, in Post Compulsory Education; Certificate in Education (Adult Literacy) and OCR Level 5 Diploma (Dyslexia/SpLD). I hold Qualified Teaching and Learning Status (QTLS) with the Society for Education and Training, and I am an Associate Member of the Dyslexia Guild.
I enjoy teaching and providing one to one support by working with children, young people, adults, staff, parents and the wider community. My services include English, maths and dyslexia tuition and support, Key Stage 2 SATS preparation and academic study skills tuition for students in Higher Education.
Support for specific needs include reading, comprehension, spelling, writing, mathematics, organisation, time management and memory, and for specific tasks or assignments, reports, assessments and revision techniques for exams.
I believe by building on key strengths, identifying individual needs and focusing on preferred ways of working helps maintain interest, breaks down barriers to learning and enhances self-esteem. By providing an individual multi-sensory learning programme offers the opportunity for individuals to reach their potential and to become independent.
